Hello.

My name is Maria.

Growing up with a dad who built everything in our house by hand, I’ve always been inspired by the process and bringing meaning to things that might seem simple. Watching him build the nightstands in my bedroom, or the bunk beds in our basement, made me curious and sparked my creativity. From sketching to building, I enjoyed watching and helping in every part of the process. Soon, video editing and painting jump started my creativity. This evolved to studying architecture as a minor in college, and now to pursuing a career in the design field.

I am detail oriented and highly inspired by the world around me. With travels to more than 30 different countries, I have come to know and understand the impact of design.  I believe that the built environment has incredible depth in meaning and as a passionate creative, I aspire to combine beauty with purpose.

As a senior at Clemson University, I’ve studied marketing, architecture and brand communications, in hopes of pursuing a career in design. With a combination of learning business at Clemson, studying architecture in Genoa, Italy, and spending time traveling around the world I have learned how design impacts every part of who we are and how we exist in our environments. I am excited to continue learning and growing my design knowledge. Let’s work together!
